چکیده
The present study was carried out to optimize some culture conditions increase lipid production from Yarrowia lipolytica B9 in crude glycerol-based medium. experiments displayed that too high concentrations of ammonium sulfate, KH2PO4, and MgSO4 increased cell growth but inhibited synthesis. In contrast, more synthesis lipids determined be achived at NaCl. optimum glycerol, MgSO4, NaCl for were as 50, 3, 1.5, 1 5 g/L, respectively. optimal incubation time found 6 days. Lipid concentration 2.69 g/L content 60.1%, reached under conditions.

Robust succinic acid production from crude glycerol using engineered Yarrowia lipolytica
BACKGROUND Integrating waste management with fuels and chemical production is considered to address the food waste problem and oil crisis. Approximately, 600 million tonnes crude glycerol is produced from the biodiesel industry annually, which is a top renewable feedstock for succinic acid production. To meet the increasing demand for succinic acid production, the development of more efficient ...
متن کاملLipid production by the oleaginous yeast Yarrowia lipolytica using industrial by-products under different culture conditions
BACKGROUND Microbial lipid production using renewable feedstock shows great promise for the biodiesel industry. RESULTS In this study, the ability of a lipid-engineered Yarrowia lipolytica strain JMY4086 to produce lipids using molasses and crude glycerol under different oxygenation conditions and at different inoculum densities was evaluated in fed-batch cultures. The greatest lipid content,...
متن کاملEngineering Yarrowia lipolytica to enhance lipid production from lignocellulosic materials
Background Yarrowia lipolytica is a common biotechnological chassis for the production of lipids, which are the preferred feedstock for the production of fuels and chemicals. To reduce the cost of microbial lipid production, inexpensive carbon sources must be used, such as lignocellulosic hydrolysates. Unfortunately, lignocellulosic materials often contain toxic compounds and a large amount of ...
متن کاملAn Effective Method of Continuous Production of Erythritol from Glycerol by Yarrowia lipolytica MK1.
This study demonstrates the potential applicability of the UV mutant Yarrowia lipolytica MK1 for the valorisation of glycerol and erythritol production in a chemostat culture. The aim of this research is to investigate the optimal C:N ratio in the feeding medium in order to enhance erythritol production. The highest erythritol concentration, at 113.1 g/L with a volumetric erythritol production ...
متن کاملMetabolic Flexibility of Yarrowia lipolytica Growing on Glycerol
The yeast Yarrowia lipolytica is a fascinating microorganism with an amazing metabolic flexibility. This yeast grows very well on a wide variety of carbon sources from alkanes over lipids, to sugars and glycerol. Y. lipolytica accumulates a wide array of industrially relevant metabolites. It is very tolerant to many environmental factors, above all the pH value. It grows perfectly well over a w...
